I was supposed to design the packaging of the HEDDphone TWO ahead of its release. Originally, I wanted to use a deep black box with a nice detail shot of the headphone. My intention was not to reveal the whole HEDDphone TWO on the cover but only to tease it with a spotlight on the driver. But I was also preparing for my parental leave and the design was not finished at the time. I only had a prototype with unfinished parts to base the packaging on.
So I went with a vector drawing, tracing a shot from the prototype, knowing I will not be able to get the shots I would have liked to use. I definitely could not make a living based on vector art, but I think it turned out alright, especially considering the limited time I had.
I later updated the vector design for the TWO GT and refined it some more, though another artist slapped the “GT” right in the middle which I personally did not like.
